Zhang Yixing (张艺兴), better known by his stage name Lay (레이), is a Chinese rapper, singer-songwriter, dancer, author, and actor. He is a member of the boy group EXO and its sub-unit EXO-M.
He was born on October 7, 1991, in Changsha, Hunan, China.
In September 2015, he released his autobiography titled Standing Firm at 24.
Lay made his solo debut in October 2016, with his first mini album LOSE CONTROL.
On 8 April 2022, Lay announced, he would be departing from SM Entertainment after the conclusion of his ten-year contract with the company.
